Is it really November?

Today is my day home with the kids while Mike is at work. I decided we would go eat lunch with Mike and then go to the park. We played at the park for about 30 minutes and it got too hot for Caden, so we had to leave. It is very unusual to me that it is
82 degrees here.

It is very hard for me to get into the holiday spirit with this weather. We haven't had snow, I mean a lot of snow in forever. It would be so fun to bundle up the kids and go play in the snow. I hope we'll get that this year.

I would love to live in Michigan right now!

It actually got up to 65 here today. Not quite hot, but nice enough that Grant and I could go out and play without sweatshirts and hats. We even broke our crocs back out for the day. I miss the summer when he could just slip his crocs on by himself. Sock and shoe time is my least favorite part of getting him dressed.
I hope it stays warm for at least another couple of weeks. Grant REALLY wants a pinata at his party, but it will be impossible to do one in the house. :)

WIth my kids it is totally diffrent . WIth Logan HE LOVES the show time and with Micha she HATES to wear shoes. So Sometimes with Micha it is the most dreaded time of the day and with Logan he Gets so excited becasue he knows that when he has on his shoes he gets to go outside!

85 degrees? What in the world?!
I used to live in that place called Joplin and I don't remember it being so tropical there!
But perhaps years in the Michigan tundra has changed me.
I'm sure it has.
BTW... I can not tell you how many times I have had to turn the car around because one kid or another says "Oh NO! I forgot shoes!"

Avery and I both have learned to just throw some sandles in the car during the summer because we both wear shoes so infrequently that sometimes we find ourselves in the car, not able to run into a store because we are barefooted.

Africa will do us well...
well, maybe not JoBurg...
